Trolling For Blog Interests
I spoke with four clients today. While I am always interested to understand how our clients are using our system for their own objectives, I had a not-so-hidden agenda item of asking them what I should blog on.
A user of a federal client indicated he’d like to know more specifics about our hosting; not the telecom and technical stuff but some straightforward speak on how we ensure constant delivery for his users. A state Government user indicated he’d like that as well, but with more of a focus on information security. He made it quite clear that if their data ever found its way into the public domain, he’d be fired and Aplicor would have (at least) one less client. A user in New Zealand also wanted to know more about hosting, however, was much more interested in global facets – mainly conquering latency so that users outside the US get respectable application performance. My last customer call was neutral on hosting content, however, expressed a desire for more visibility into our planned product delivery. These two topics – hosting (or what we internally call Delivery) and product planning – will be the subjects of my next posts. I encourage suggestions for any other input or topics which you might find useful.
